Google blacklist, article delays, and website upgrades

This week’s article has been delayed and it’s looking more like it’ll be next week’s article (this Monday). For those who are interested why:

Our social media page and website and articles are all primarily handled by one person who also happens to be our President — That’s me!

Google is censoring Nullify Abortion

Over the past several weeks we’ve come to an increasing revelation Google has blacklisted our website: NullifyAbortion.org. We’ve been in the process of reaching out to some pro-life and conservative media outlets but thus far nobody is that interested in a little website not appearing on Google.

To be clear, it’s not just our website being suppressed, but the existence of our organization in general. Nullify Abortion is legally incorporated in our state and there are several places online which publicly have our name listed. None of these websites will return a search even when searching for “Nullify Abortion non-profit Michigan.” If you try any other search engine, ANY, our organization will be the first to come up.

Nullify Abortion has been online since 2014 and for most of this time we’ve been the first result in for “nullify abortion” and other similar terms like “abortion nullification” etc. “Right to Life of Michigan” appears when you search for our organization name. So it’s not a carte blanche suppression of pro-life groups. It’s a targeted suppression of *our* pro-life group.

This baffling because for the last 8 years, Nullify Abortion has primarily been inactive. We’ve had bursts of activity, but it isn’t until the past few months I’ve had the ability to focus most of my energy on it. As far as I understand, we haven’t been a threat to anyone. I’ve written articles which, while I’d like to think they are good, aren’t anything which have gained any significant attention.

Website updates

The point is, I’ve been working on tweaking our website and investing in some additional infrastructure which will boost our website’s security, response time, and by extension, it’s ranking in search engines. At the same time, I’m also managing our social media accounts and I have around 11 articles on culture, pro-life abolition, Christianity in relation to abortion and the pro-life movement, Christian influence in Western culture, and more, all in various stages of completion. Our website has a lot of work to go yet, and a lot of pages have been hidden from the public (or are at least harder to get to on purpose) while I clean them up and update them to a standard I’m pleased with. Oh, you can also contact us again.

Podcast TBA

But wait! There’s more! I’m also working on a podcast which should be pretty fun. I mean, for you, not me. The last thing I want is to listen to myself talk. I abstained from that vote. I digress.

Pro-life Legislation Tipline

Finally, we’re working on a way for you to report legislation and ballots actions happening around the country. We often find out about things after the fact, so allowing fellow abolitionists to send in tips would be a huge help. That should be out sooner than later (don’t quote me on that).

In closing

All of that said, the latest article is almost done, it’s longer than usual, but it is really pertinent to the current cultural issues we’re facing. I think it’ll be worth the wait.

If you actually read to the bottom, I give you a virtual cookie. Stay safe out there, God bless you, and keep us in your prayers.
